Forma Naturae is an audiovisual exploration of the boundaries between organic and synthetic. Through a profound synergy between generative geometries, real and imaginary environments, and material sound design.
The work aims to immerse the viewer in an abstract sound and visual world. It does not limit itself to portraying nature only in its concrete aspect but gives an imaginary form to the concept of nature.
Giuseppe Tarantino and Paolo Piazza are a duo of sound designers and multimedia artists from the Electronic Music Department of the “T. Schipa” Conservatory in Lecce.
In their previous works, they have curated the complete resounderization of Buster Keaton’s silent film “The Goat” for the Anamorphosis Festival, reinterpreting the cinema classic through a contemporary sound aesthetic that blends narration and electronic abstraction. They also collaborated with other artists on an audiovisual installation for the SISS Project at the Mixtur Festival (Barcelona), focusing on the spatial interaction between sound and image.
